before & after

I swear this will be the last collage post.

Here's my work table:

Workstation

And here are the finished projects.  They just need to be glued, and the wood boards they are on are only temporary supports to keep them off the dirty studio floor.  Though it makes me think that I need to get away from painted white frames and move towards something warmer, like a light-stained wood.

Wip

I hope I'm not being too trendy with the antlers.  When I was in the Hamptons for Scope (I know I am beating a dead horse here!), there were deer everywhere, particularly at night when we drove back home from the fair, and in the early morning when we ran out for coffee.  I never thought one way or another about deer until that weekend, but I became sort of obsessed with them after that.  And I fully admit I am tapping into the collective (un?)conscious that is interested in all things forest creature-y.

Hi Amy, I wasn't aware of your blog. I try to keep track on you :) I'm very glad I found it, and please post more about collage. I love your collages. "see" you next update :)

Amy, I love these collages!! And you're right, the wood looks really good with the images. Could you maybe mount them on wood as a back support, rather than frame them with anything over the image? I'm not sure how the surface would hold up, but I love the way they look in the second image. Great job!!
