Southbound

Nature Morph is gearing up to head down South to the seat of the Confederacy for the holiday weekend.  There will be plenty of swimming, some bird watching, a bit of botanical garden strolling, and hopefully some good art talk with this artist and this gallery.

I finished a few new collages today.  All are 12x9 inches.

And finally, literary extraordinaire Lux Lotus has suggested a poem for these pages:

Daphne
Why do you follow me?—
Any moment I can be
Nothing but a laurel-tree.

Any moment of the chase
I can leave you in my place
A pink bough for your embrace.

Yet if over hill and hollow
Still it is your will to follow,
I am off;—to heel, Apollo!
