In true fall fashion, we went apple picking last weekend, and as an added bonus, the farm had my favorite kinds of animals.
And then we went hiking yesterday, and at the beginning of the trail, I spotted three (THREE!) fairy rings, as in the real mushrooms growing in a real circle. I went pretty crazy over them, and I was glad that my daughter is still young enough to think that I am funny but not embarrassing when I get all worked up over mushrooms.
In the middle of the week, between these two excursions, I drove from Cambridge to the Lower East Side in NYC, and back again, all in one day. It was one of the nuttier things I've done in a while, but I had to go down, and I had to be back home that night. And so it happened, in somewhat surreal fashion. I sat in so much traffic that I decided to document my drive from Spring St to Chrystie St, which I was able to do with my little Nikon point-and-shoot.
I'm heading north to the White Mountains tomorrow. Hope you all have a great weekend!
A beautiful string of photos taken out of doors... those mushrooms! those sheep!

Hi Amy,
So happy to have found your blog. I love your work. This is probably some of the most unique art I have ever seen.
